Athletic Honors: Third-Team All-Catholic League as a senior, helped Hawks reach semifinals of PIAA 3A championships.
How do you define leadership: “I believe that leadership is an individual’s ability to prioritize the team’s needs over himself. It is being able to lift your team up and motivate them, especially when times get tough. It is being able to earn respect and provide a good example of how an athlete should carry himself on and off the field.”
How do you balance academics, service, and athletics? “As far as balancing academics, service, and athletics, I keep in close communication with my teachers and coaches so that they can allow for some flexibility. I also try to use my time throughout the day in school as wisely as possible with getting academic work done ahead of time so that I have more time to focus on service and athletics in the afternoon.”
What are your future goals? ”Next year I will be attending Vanderbilt University in Nashville, and my plan is to major in Computer Science and Economics. I’m still deciding on my career path for the future. One of the primary reasons that I chose Vanderbilt is their flexibility of curriculum and the various resources that they offer so that their students can freely explore practically any topic of interest.”
