The Philadelphia Wings are headed to the postseason. The Wings secured their spot in the 2022 NLL Playoffs when they defeated the Georgia Swarm in a thrilling 11-10 overtime win in Georgia Saturday night.

The Wings (9-9) will enter the playoffs as the Wild Card in the Western Division and will face off against the San Diego Seals in a first round, single-elimination matchup this Saturday at 10 p.m. on the CW Philly (CW57).

The Wings struck overtime gold against Georgia for the third time this season when Blaze Riorden scored a shorthanded goal 1:42 into overtime. The Wings have clinched a playoff berth for the first time in the modern franchise’s era.

“We fought hard to earn this spot and I’m really proud of our team,” said Wings Head Coach Paul Day. “We are confident in our group and are ready to keep our momentum rolling into the postseason.”

For the first time in Wings franchise history, the Wings playoff run will air exclusively on The CW Philly (CW57). Tune in as the Wings take on the San Diego Seals Saturday, May 7 at 10 p.m.

With a win against San Diego in the first round, the Wings would bring the playoffs to Philly to play a best of 3 series against the winner of Calgary vs. Colorado. Wings fans can stay up to date on all of the postseason action and reserve their second round playoff tickets now at wingslax.com.
