The visiting Halifax Thunderbirds jumped to a 3-0 first-period lead and never relinquished the advantage before claiming a 10-8 National Lacrosse League victory over the host Philadelphia Wings Saturday night at the Weslls Fargo Center.
Matt Rambo (La Salle alum, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy assistant coach) led the Wings with three goals and three assists and Kevin Crowley (Fusion co-founder) had a goal and four assists.
Kiel Matisz and Ben McIntosh added a goal and two assists each for the Wings (5-6).
Halifax is 7-1, second behind Buffalo (8-1) in the East.
