Conestoga High School

Head Coach: Amy Orcutt 13th year

2021: lost in state semis to Radnor

Outlook: “With 9 returning starters and a strong core group, we look to make a run for the Central, District1 and State Championship this year.

“In the defensive end, returning starters Kat Bielinski, Brooke Braslow, Emma Nikolic and goalie Alana Lepore will lead the D. Sophie Borelli and Brynn Borger are key returnees. Freshman Maria Ziff is a great addition to our defensive unit.

“In the midfield, returning starters Kate Galica, Kiki Liebezeit, Chloe Brown and Keating Hopkins are quick and will lead the midfield this year. Other key midfielders include Ella Warkentine, Abbie Preston, and Eva Stagnaro.

“In the attacking end, returning starters Melissa Hewitt and Piper Kienzle play a big role in the attacking end. Ellie Wisch, Natalie Yarmark, Isa Thompson and Sam Hewitt will also play key roles this spring.”

Midfield: Gabby Rizzio SR, Mia Valerio JR, Liv Gutowski SO
Defense: Anabel Kreydt JR, Lexi Aaron JR

Others to Watch: Julia Flaherty SR, Molly Convery JR, Jules Govan SO, Emma Barrett SO, Morgan Hannigan SO.

Outlook: “The Cougars will return eight starters from last years squad. The team looks to compete in the highly competitive Central League as it looks to improve on their 12-7-1 record. The team will start ten underclassman with a strong freshman class entering their first year at the high school level.”
