Phillylacrosse.com, Posted 3/26/22

This is one of a series of previews for the 2022 scholastic lacrosse season

Top Returning Starters:
Nick Mort (G) – Sr.
Archer Crane (D) – Sr.
Sean McNamara (D) – Sr.
Jackson Wolff (D) – Sr.
Hayden Darabant (A) – Sr.
Brady Mitchell (A) – Sr.
Daniel Siaton (M) – Sr.
Andy Talone (M) – Sr.

Newcomers to Watch:
Nick de Rezende (D) – So.

Outlook: “The 2022 Great Valley boys lacrosse team enters the season supported by strong leadership from the Senior class, most of whom are returning starters. This group includes, but is not limited to, Senior goalie and 2021 First Team All-Ches Mont goalie, Nick Mort, returning defensive starters Archer Crane and Jackson Wolff, F/O midfielder Andy Talone, 2021 Second Team All-Ches Mont midfielder Daniel Siaton, and a versatile offensive and defensive threat in Brady Mitchell.

“The 2021 Patriots squeaked into the playoffs with a .500 regular season record, and fought a tough losing battle against a formidable Spring Ford team in the first round of playoffs.

“A well of younger talent in the sophomore class, especially, will fortify the returning upperclassmen in what is expected to be a season of optimism for the future of the Great Valley boys lacrosse program.”

Oxford Area High

League: Ches-Mont Conference

Outlook: “This is my first year as the HC for Oxford. Really can’t speak on last years stats or scores. What I will tell you is we will shock a few schools this year. Oxford is known to be the underdogs and we embrace that title. We are a very senior heavy team along with some incredible young talent. Looking forward to seeing what we can do in the 2022 lacrosse season.”
