BPG|Sports purchases Brotherly Love LC, will base a second team at Chase Fieldhouse

The sports management group BPG|SPORTS is excited to announce the acquisition of the West Chester-based Brotherly Love Lacrosse Club.

BPG|SPORTS will oversee the expansion of Brotherly Love into its new era. This expansion includes Brotherly Love, which will continue to operate out of the West Chester area, while adding a Delaware Chapter based out of the Chase Fieldhouse in Wilmington.

“When we started the Brotherly Love Program, we had a singular vision. Aggregate community-based talent under one club team to compete with the best teams in the country,” said Brotherly Love founder Jonathan Nurry. “I am proud of what we have accomplished together.

“Our original team at 2023 now has 13 Division 1 committed athletes and our 2024 group is poised for a great summer in their own right. After six years the time has come to step aside.”

Nurry will remain with the program as an advisor. The Brotherly Love coaching staff will remain intact to coach the West Chester-based squad and some of the staff will also coach with the new Delaware-based program, said Brynn Wiedenmann, the BPG|Sports Lacrosse Director.

BPG|SPORTS ran a boys’ club program, the Phantoms, for 3 years until the fall. Wiedenmann said some of the players from that program will transition to the Brotherly Love Delaware team, which will hold open tryouts Feb. 27 at the Chase Fieldhouse. BPG|SPORTS also runs a girls’ program, called the Phantoms.

“BPG|SPORTS has the financial resources, marketing team, videography group, and fields to take Brotherly Love to the next level,” Nurry said. “Their vision for lacrosse reconciles to mine and with three of my sons in the program I look forward to being an integral part of the good to great journey.”

“We are thrilled at the opportunity to expand and grow a program that we have tremendous respect for,” said BPG|SPORTS General Manager Steve Cavalier. “This opportunity allows us to not only host the highest-level lacrosse but also help prepare our players for taking their game to the next level.

“We understand the prestige behind Brotherly Love Lacrosse and with our aligning visions BPG|SPORTS plans on new heights for the club.”
