From Press Release

Following a 2021 season which saw the Lehigh men’s lacrosse team earn the No. 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament, expectations remain high entering 2022 as the Mountain Hawks come in at No. 11 in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Poll announced this week. Lehigh is one of three Patriot League teams ranked, along with Loyola (7) and Army (13).

The Mountain Hawks cracked the top five in last season’s national polls, coming in at No. 5 in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll following an 18-12 win over Bucknell.

Lehigh returns a strong core from last season’s team, including its top five scorers, and the majority of its defense, led by Teddy Leggett and Anthony Tangredi. Along with Leggett returning for a fifth year, so is goaltender James Spence (Springfield-Delco), who was named an honorable All-American last season.

First team All-American Mike Sisselberger (Southern Lehigh) returns in the faceoff circle following an NCAA record-breaking season, winning 79.5 percent of his faceoffs (225-of-283) with 160 groundballs.

Also from Philly, Penn is ranked No. 9 and Delaware is at No 16, while Drexel is at No. 17.
