From Press Release
TeamTEN Lacrosse has expanded to Harrisburg and the surrounding Central Pennsylvania area. The program began in summer 2021 with a 2030 team and is led by coach Chris Bickel.
The Harrisburg branch of TeamTEN will compete in the top tournaments throughout the country and will expand to more classes in 2022. Open tryouts for athletes in the 2029, 2030, and 2031 classes are open for the 2021-22 season now at teamtenlax.com.
“I am thrilled and honored to lead the expansion of TeamTEN into Central PA,” said Bickel. “Harrisburg is full of untapped potential. My focus will be on building the foundation of lacrosse amongst our youngest players. We are committed to the community, growing the sport of lacrosse, and fostering the development of our players both on and off the field.”
Bickel previously served as the Central Dauphin High School assistant coach, and has been a coach with CD Rams Youth Lacrosse for the past 5 years.
“Chris is the perfect person to lead TeamTEN’s Harrisburg branch,” said John Bickel, TeamTEN’s Program Director. “His values directly align to TeamTEN’s mission of inspiring, developing, and sparking multi-sport athletes to achieve and compete at their very best. We are thrilled that he is leading our expansion into the area.”
After graduating from Conestoga High School and Bridgton Academy, Chris Bickel continued his collegiate lacrosse career at Syracuse University, where he earned a business degree in Consumer Studies in 2003. Bickel appeared in the NCAA Division I Final Four all four years of his collegiate career as a FOGO. His team claimed the national title in both 2000 and 2002, and was a National Championship runner up in 2001.
TeamTEN provides a positive and healthy competitive atmosphere for boys to grow their skills on and off the lacrosse field. For more information about TeamTEN, visit teamtenlax.com.
