Phillylacrosse Honorable Mention Coaches of the Year 2021

The Phillylacrosse.com Honorable Mention Coaches of the Year for 2021:

Boys’ Teams

Bob Allvord, Kennett – Allvord guided the Demons to the Ches-Mont league championship and the PIAA Class AAA final.

Bryan Churchey, Perkiomen Valley – Churchey led the Vikings to their first Pioneer Athletic Conference championship.

Matt Conway, Wissahickon – Conway led the Trojans to the Suburban One American Conference championship and a berth in the PIAA Class AAA quarterfinals.

Dan Dolphin, Allentown Central Catholic – Dolphin guided the Vikings to the East Penn, District 11 AA and PIAA AA championships, and a 23-1 record. The state title was the first in lacrosse won by any District 11 team.

Tom Lemieux, Springfield-Delco – Lemieux took the Cougars to the District 1 Class AAA championship.

Girls’ Teams

Tara Brown, Unionville – Brown led the Indians to the District 1 Class AAA championship.

Courtney Kaplan, Twin Valley – Kaplan guided the Raiders to their first Berks County championship and a berth in the PIAA Class AA semifinals.

Michelle Mihalko, Easton – Mihalko guided the Red Rovers to a 17-1 season, which included an East Penn Conference and District 11 Class AAA championship, as well as a berth in the PIAA tournament.

Jeff Niederberger, Cherokee – Niederberger led the Chiefs (21-2) to the New Jersey Group 4 championship and a berth in the Tournament of Champions semifinals.

Kacy Small, Bishop Shanahan – Small guided led the Eagles to their first Ches-Mont League and District 1 (Class AA) championships.
