From Press Release
University of Maryland women’s lacrosse coach Cathy Reese has announced the addition of five transfers to the roster for the 2022 season.
Graduate students Abby Bosco and Aurora Cordingley, sophomores Clancy Rheude and Shannon Smith and redshirt freshman Natalie Pansini (Agnes Irwin) will all join the women’s lacrosse program.
“I am so excited to welcome each one of these five outstanding student-athletes to our program,” said Reese. “Aurora, Abby, Clancy, Shannon and Natalie each bring a dynamic skill set and will help our team both next year and in the future. I can’t wait to get started with them in the fall and see what they can accomplish in College Park.”
Pansini, a redshirt freshman midfielder, comes to Maryland from Princeton and has not seen any collegiate action with the Tigers season getting canceled in 2021 due to COVID-19. The Villanova native entered Princeton as the No. 21-ranked incoming freshman in the 2020 class after starring at The Agnes Irwin School, totaling 189 goals, 91 assists, 280 points, 311 draw controls, 170 ground balls and 100 caused turnovers.
Pansini was an Under Armour All-American in 2020 and was high school teammates with current Terp Kacy Hogarth. Pansini also was a US Lacrosse All-American in 2018 and 2019 and a First-Team All-Phillylacrosse.com pick in 2018 and 2019 and a Second-Team selection as a freshman in 2017. Pansini also was a key player on Puerto Rico’s World Cup team in 2019.
