From Press Release
University of Scranton men’s lacrosse head coach Michael Hofmeister has announced his four captains for the upcoming 2021 season. They are: junior Cole Lukasiewicz (Havertown High, Pa./Haverford), senior’s Jalen Holmes (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan), Michael Grant (Malverne, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) and sophomore Ryan Turck (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park Memorial).
“With an experienced group of returners, we are fortunate to have a lot of individuals able to step up and lead,” Hofmeiser said. “These four individuals are great advocates for our program as they get the job done athletically, academically & socially.
Lukasiewicz, an attacker, has started all 23 games he has appeared in during his two-year career at Scranton. Overall, he’s scored 27 goals and added 14 assists for a 41 point total, while also scooping up 34 ground balls.
“Lukasiewicz leads by example,” Hofmeister said. “He is setting the tone for a Scranton Men’s Lacrosse Player. Each and everything we do, we get Cole’s best. The effort Cole will give is never questioned which makes him an ideal person for his teammates to look towards and go to.”
The University of Scranton men’s lacrosse team is slated to have their 2021 season begin late next month. Fans are reminded to continue to check with athletics.scranton.edu as information on the Royals’ season becomes available.
