From Press Release
West Chester University’s women’s lacrosse squad has remained solid at fifth place in the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) Division II weekly poll released on Monday morning. In this week’s poll, WCU was able to receive one first-place vote from the IWLCA even before it begins the season.
A few teams in the poll have begun competing, most will not open the 2021 season until this week, or the next. West Chester opens the 2021 campaign on March 17 on the road against Shippensburg. The Golden Rams host Millersville on March 20 for its home opener at 1 p.m.
The IWLCA poll has only changed slightly since the preseason standings. Adelphi, reigning 2019 National Champions, remains in first place while Lindenwood (MO) stays in second. Le Moyne coming in third and UIndy, rising two spots from last week to fourth place.
