Upper Merion

League: Pioneer Athletic Conference

Head Coach: Angie Yanocha- 16th season

Players to watch: Catherine Merritt- Senior, Attack (committed to George Mason to play lacrosse); Sarah Adams, Senior, Defense; Anya Waller, Senior, GK (committed to Howard University); Emma Siegrist, Senior, Defense; Emma Wellington, Senior, Defense/Midfield

Coach’s outlook: “First, after not having any season at all last year, we are thrilled to be back on the field playing lacrosse! We have 6 starting seniors along with a mix of Freshman and returning Sophomores that we never really got to see play last year. So we need some time together to build chemistry and get stronger. But we have a strong group of players that with time will gain confidence and composure on the field.”

Coach’s outlook for 2021 season: “Overall, this team has incredible depth at multiple positions, speed, youth and enthusiasm.  I think we are going to mature throughout this season and hopefully peak at the right time.  As everyone, we are untested and this group is working on working together and really getting use to each other.  Every week there is progress and I am very optimistic and excited about this team. Everyone on this team can shoot which makes it exciting!”
