Phillylacrosse.com, Posted 9/14/21 – From Press Release

The HEADstrong Foundation is pleased to announce that the Fall Event Series will return for a 14th year with five iterations of the Nick Colleluori Classic in October.

To kick everything off, the Event Series will return to where it all began with two Nick Colleluori Classics at Hofstra University on October 9th and 10th. On Saturday, October 10th the Hofstra men’s lacrosse team will host Siena, Bucknell, Air Force, LIU and Marist beginning at 8 a.m. and the next day the women’s lacrosse team will host USC, Yale, Army and Stony Brook with games beginning at 9 a.m.

The following weekend, Lafayette will host St. Bonaventure, Mount St. Mary’s University and Bellarmine in the Nick Colleluori Classic on October 17th beginning at 9 a.m. The Fall Event Series will head west to Grove City College, where the Wolverines will host Seton Hill and Cleveland State on October 23rd beginning at 11 a.m. before wrapping up at Johns Hopkins on October 24th. The Blue Jays will host Hobart, High Point, Harvard and Richmond that day beginning at 9 a.m.

“We are so thankful to be able to bring back the Fall Event Series this year,” HEADstrong President, and Nick’s mom, Cheryl Colleluori said. “There is no better way for us to honor Nick’s life and legacy than on the lacrosse field that he loved so much,”

Entry to each event will go directly to HEADstrong’s mission of assisting families affected by cancer. Teams participating at each location will also be fundraising, with their efforts going directly to local families that HEADstrong is assisting. Those funds will be presented to the families at a special presentation in between games by members of the Colleluori family and HEADstrong representatives.
