Rutgers women’s lacrosse announced the addition of its 11-player freshman class to its 2020-21 roster. The rookie class includes five signees from New Jersey, two from Maryland and one each from Connecticut, Florida, New York and Pennsylvania. The group marks the first full signing class for head coach and Penn grad Melissa Lehman, who wrapped up her first season at the helm of the Scarlet Knight program.
“I am so excited to welcome the Class of 2024 to the banks this fall,” Lehman said. “I recruited these young women during my first few months as head coach, and what I love about this group is the passion we all share for Rutgers University. These eleven student-athletes are hungry to get back out on the lacrosse field, and we expect this class to come in ready to compete. I can’t wait to see the impact this group has on our Scarlet Knight program.”
