A four-year letterwinner on a team that was ranked in the top-10 in Division II in her last two years at the University of Tampa, Phoenixville High grad Jacy Sterritt will join the Lycoming College women’s lacrosse staff as an assistant coach for the 2021 season, second-year head coach Sarah Quigley announced today.

Sterritt was a part of a transformational group at Tampa, as the team improved from a 6-11 mark in her freshman year in 2017 to a 14-4 mark and a national ranking as high as third by her junior campaign. The Spartans were 6-1 and ranked in the top-10 nation during her senior year before the season was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sterritt appeared in 40 career games, making 13 starts, as a defender for the Spartans, grabbing 16 ground balls and causing two turnovers.

The Phoenixville native has worked with the Dynamite Lacrosse club program as a coach for the past four seasons, also working as Dynamite’s social media liaison.

Sterritt earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Tampa in 2020.
