The Philadelphia Lacrosse Association invites lacrosse supporters to participate in the 28th Annual PLA Golf Classic on Monday, October 19th at Whitemarsh Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill.
Your participation will support the PLA’s mission to promote the game of lacrosse in the region. Last year’s PLA Golf Classic at Whitemarsh featured 72 golfers and 38 corporate and individual sponsors and helped the PLA raise close to $15,000.
The proceeds from the outing help the PLA to do the following:
*Provide grants and other support the PIAA Public Lacrosse League and youth and middle programs in Philadelphia and beyond (including Eyekonz and Harlem Lacrosse);
*Support the HEADstring Project, which refurbishes and/or donates sticks for the benefit of programs in the City and Greater Philadelphia (see http://www.headstringproject.com);
*Organize/underwrite the Eastern PA Lacrosse Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies and Annual PLA High School Awards Recognition Banquets;
*Conduct/sponsor high school and youth coaches’ clinics;
*And promote diversity and inclusion in the sport.
The PLA is excited to return to Whitemarsh. The course is a parkland style classic designed by noted architect George C. Thomas, Jr. and features a great routing and scenic beauty. It’s a “must play” venue in the Philadelphia area.
The PLA would welcome your and your company’s participation and sponsorship to help ensure the outing’s success. All sponsors, patrons and (if applicable) their logos (and websites) will be promoted on tee-signs, in
the event program, in press releases and on PLA website and the PLA Golf Outing website.
