St. John’s Catholic Prep (WV) 2021 defenseman Nathaniel Hayes has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Cairn University-Langhorne.

Grad year: 2021

Position: Defense

College committed to: Cairn University-Langhorne (expected to have first season in 2021)

Club team: MDX Revolution

Lacrosse honors: Club Lacrosse team captain, School lacrosse team captain

Academic honors: Presidents list, Faith in action award, 4x class president, Music honor society, 1st chair tuba, President of the Model U.N. Campus, Ministry executive Founder of the Cheese club, Secretary of the video game club, Mandarin Club

Expected major: Theology

Why did you choose Cairn University-Langhorne, Men’s D3? “Cairn University gave me an opportunity that I could have never had before. An opportunity to complete my dreams of playing lacrosse, but also a place where I am surrounded by Christian values and can revive a great education. At Cairn their program is just starting up and I can become part of the school’s legacy during their first years. All while serving God.”

Is there anything else you would like to share? “Special Thanks to my brother, Josh Hayes, mother Ronda Hayes, father Daryl Hayes, stepmom Kelly Hayes, my trainer Travis Bagent; my coaches at SJCP and at MDX-R, as well as all my teammates; also, all my family and friends who have supported me; most importantly, God.”
