Penn Charter 2022 midfielder Darcy Felter has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of North Carolina.

Darcy Felter profile:

Darcy Felter

High school: William Penn Charter School (Philadelphia, PA)

Grad year: 2022

Position: Midfield

College committed to: University of North Carolina

Club team: Big 4 HHH Girls

Lacrosse honors: Under Armour All American (2018, 2019) WPLL selectee 2019

Academic honors: High honors

Why did you choose North Carolina, Women’s D1? “I chose UNC because it has always felt like home. My dad played lacrosse there and is still a huge fan, I trend I see among a lot of alums. People say when you step on a campus and meet the girls, you know- you know where you belong. This year visiting schools was a little different, but while on other campuses I never got that feeling- the feeling I’ve always gotten when at UNC. I had a zoom with a few UNC players to ask questions and get a sense of their program. After that zoom I knew where I wanted to go. Those were the girls I wanted to play with, the coach I wanted to play for, and the school I wanted to attend.”

Thank You: “I want to thank my parents who are the best support system and have helped me tremendously on and off the field. (They both played college lacrosse). I’d also like to thank my coach, Colleen Magarity. She is the best role model I could have asked for. I would not have had the opportunities I did without her. She’s the best!”
