The Hill School (PA) 2021 defender Tess Gray of T3 Lacrosse West has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Coastal Carolina University.

Lacrosse honors: Two-year starter on defense for The Hill School girls’ lacrosse team, which finished second in the Mid-Atlantic Prep League in 2019. Also play varsity water polo and basketball. Team captain in basketball, and selected to receive the Hill Girls’ Basketball Toughness Award in 2019 and the team’s Spirit Award in 2020.
Academic honors: Achieved a 3.9 GPA in the winter term with nearly all AP and honors classes. Selected to represent The Hill School at the 2020 Girls in Sports Leadership Summit. Play varsity lacrosse, water polo and basketball (basketball captain). I am sports editor for the school newspaper, co-president of Operation Smile and a resident advisor for first-year students. Recipient of Hill’s 2019 Horizon Award, which funds selected students’ self-created summer experiences. As a result, I spent three weeks in the Caribbean last summer living on a boat and studying marine biology. I also have been selected to receive The Hill School’s 2020 scholarship to Hurricane Island Outward Bound School this July, when I will travel to the coast of Maine for a two-week wilderness and sailing program and to sharpen my leadership and teamwork skills.
