Agnes Irwin 2022 midfielder Marissa White has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of North Carolina

Lacrosse honors: 2020 All America Underclass Highlight team, 2019 National Philly Lacrosse Tournament 1st team, 2019 Under Armour All-tournament team Command Division, 2019 PASLA Rookie of the Year, 2019 Second Team All-Phillylacrosse.com & All-Delco & All-Inter-Ac & PA Prep All Area 2019; 2nd leading in goals, 2019 UNC Camp All-Star, 2018 Maverick National Lacrosse Classic Tournament All-Star, 2018 UNC Camp All-Star and King of the Hill Champions. Brine NLC All-American Philly Team & NLC All-star team, member of tournament winning team (2017).

Why did you choose University of North Carolina, Women’s D1? “I chose the University of North Carolina because of the coaches, the academics, and tradition. The first time I was on campus, I fell in love with the school and understood that Coach (Jenny) Levy and Coach (Phil) Barnes would push me to my full potential on and off the field. I love the winning tradition and camaraderie among all the girls in the program. I couldn’t be more excited to be a Tar Heel!”

Is there anything else you would like to share? “Thank you to my parents for all they have done for me and to my brothers for teaching and inspiring me to play lacrosse at the highest level. Thank you to my high school coach, Lauren Wray, for challenging me on and off the field to be the best player and person I can be; my club coaches, Coach Beers, and Coach Lake have coached me since 3rd grade and helped me develop my skills while competing at all the best tournaments all summer with Phantastix. Thank you Coach Mongo for teaching and stressing the importance of excellence fundamentals. Thank you Coach Duck for teaching me to compete and hold myself accountable at a young age.”
