Abington Friends 2022 midfield/defender Ally Muller has made a commitment to the admissions process to play Division I lacrosse at Columbia University.

Club team: Big 4 HHH Girls

Lacrosse honors: Under Armour All-America Philadelphia Command Team (2018); Honorable Mention from Inside Lacrosse for performance; Brine National Tournament Pennsylvania Team (2018); Under Armour 150 (2019); Selected for WPLL Futures Summit (2019); Started on high school Varsity team since 8th grade; Honorable Mention for performance in 8th grade; All-Friends School league (highest honor) in 9th grade; James Madison University Rising Stars All Star Team (2020); Selected for WPLL Futures Summit (2020); All-America Philadelphia Callbacks (2020); All-America Junior Spotlight Philadelphia Region (2020).

Academic honors: 9th grade: All honors courses, most challenging curriculum for a 9th grader. 10th grade: All honors courses, most challenging curriculum for a 10th grader; Top 10% of class; Vice President of 2022 class at school; On student council; volunteers at A Step Up Academy; organizes fundraiser for cancer research; summer camp counselor, recognized by city of Philadelphia as most outstanding counselor 2 years in a row.

Why did you choose Columbia University, Women’s D1? “Columbia is the perfect school for me: a supportive community at an academically rigorous institution, all in the greatest city in the world! The coaching staff was also a big factor; they value tradition, grit, and are devoted to the team’s success. With their support, I know I can be the best student-athlete possible. I am beyond excited to wear the Columbia jersey and represent those who came before me.”

Is there anything else you would like to share? “Thanks to my club coaches, Colleen Magarity, Kasey Mock, and Sam McGee; my high school coach, Jess Breuning; my past coaches, Bob Cummings and Larry Redican. I would also like to thank my teammates on my club team and high school team, as well as my friends and family. I have been fortunate enough to have the best support system that shaped me into the player I am today!”
