Jamie McCarney, a 2019 graduate of Gwynedd Mercy University, has been named the Varsity girls’ lacrosse head coach at Lansdale Catholic High School.
As a senior, McCarney served as team captain of the women’s lacrosse team at GMU, and the Griffins made the playoffs in both her junior (CSAC) and senior (AEC) seasons.

She was honored by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) as a senior for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and higher. A three-year member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, McCarney served as president in 2018-19.
A 2015 graduate of William Tennent High School, she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services with a minor in Psychology. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychology with a concentration on child and adolescent development from Southern New Hampshire University.
