Foundation Lacrosse releases Winter schedule of goalie training for boys, girls

November 22, 2020 by Chris Goldberg

Phillylacrosse.com, Posted 11/22/20

Foundation Lacrosse has released its full December/January Goalie Training schedule for boys and girls.

To provide more opportunities to train (and limit group sizes for COVID compliance) Foundation is training out of TWO locations and days of the week to give everyone a chance to be at their best this Spring AND train with some of the best goalies in the area.

Sessions will run Sunday AM at United Sports in Downingtown as well as Friday afternoons at SteelYard Sports in King of Prussia. SteelYard will be capped at 30 goalies and the USTC sessions will be capped at 20 (with two sessions being offered). Spots fill up quickly.

Foundation’s staff of college coaches, goalies and shooters will lead each session. These sessions will be FAST PACED, tightly coached and bring together elite goalies in the area to push each other and COMPETE each session.

Sessions will be led by Dave Page (UPenn coach), Corey Shafer (Ursinus coach) and Kate Goldstein (Villanova coach) and their staff of current and former college goalies and elite shooters. These sessions will focus on game-like “situational shooting” more than “drills” and the pace is meant to PUSH goalies, ramp up their ability to handle realistic, challenging situations and build their base so they can show up when it counts.
