The Lehigh women’s lacrosse team went on a 13-2 run to end the first half and begin the second, on the way to an 18-15 win over visiting La Salle on Tuesday at the Ulrich Sports Complex.
The day saw senior Sondra Dickey (Conestoga) post a career-high 10 points (seven goals, three assists), eclipsing 200 career points in the process. Junior Cecily Redfern (Moravian Academy) finished with a school-record 14 draw controls to shatter the previous school mark of 10. The Mountain Hawks improved to 4-2.
Reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Week Gabby Schneider followed a nine-point effort with seven via a career-high six goals and an assist. Dickey’s seven goals tied a career high, while she added four draw controls as well. Schneider and Dickey combined for 13 of the Mountain Hawks’ 18 goals, with freshman Katia Carnevale also scoring twice, and dishing an assist.
Junior Hannah Cermack filled up the stat sheet with a goal, assist, two draw controls and a caused turnover. Schneider led the team with two caused turnovers.
Juniors Allison Hunter, Bridget Ruskey (Middle Township-NJ) and Emily Johnston (Ridley) combined for 10 of the team’s 15 goals with Hunter scoring four.
The combination of Hunter, Ruskey and Johnston was also added up to the majority of La Salle’s 13 draw controls. Hunter and Johnston each had four, followed by Ruskey with three. Hunter and Ruskey were tied for the team lead with points (four) along with classmate Annina Iacobucci (Villa Maria Academy) who scored twice and assisted twice.
Division III – Widener 13, Bridgewater 8
Melanie Bert posted five goals, leading the Pride. Amber Bretz had a hat trick with three goals. She also helped keep the possession rolling with 11 draw controls.
D’Youville 18, Houghton 12
Senior Marissa Hews (Interboro) scored twice and got her her 100th career goal, but Houghton lost to D’Youville

Chestnut Hil 29, Alderson Broaddus 4
Chestnut Hill broke its single-game scoring record once again and set the program record for margin of victory.
The Griffins (4-1) used an eight-goal outing from junior attackman Carson Rees – who surpassed the 100-goal-mark in his career with his sixth goal of the game — and an eight-point day (six goals, two assists) from junior attackman J.R. Howell to help surpass the team’s scoring record prior to this season for the third time in five games.
Rees and Howell each had hat tricks by the end of the first quarter, pushing the Griffins out to a 12-2 lead after the first 15 minutes. Howell played a role in four of the Scarlet and Gold’s seven goals in the second period, scoring three and assisting on one. The Griffins did not concede in the period, heading into halftime with a 19-2 lead.
Junior faceoff specialist Stephen Lopuzzo was dominant once again, winning 16-of-21 faceoffs.
