Staff Report
St. Joseph’s Prep scored the final four goals of the game to claim a 7-3 victory over Emmaus Friday in a PIAA Class AAA first-round playoff game at Northampton.
The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday but was postponed due to inclement weather for three days.

The District 12 runner-up Hawks (14-9) have little time to celebrate the victory over the District 11 champion Hornets (15-8) as they gear for today’s quarterfinal contest with District 1 runner-up Garnet Valley at 2 p.m. at Harriton High.
David Shew scored four goals – including the game-winner – for the Prep and Tommy McHugh stood out in goal.
St. Joe’s Prep took a 3-2 lead late in the third quarter as Shew scored his first of three second-half goals with 24 seconds left.
Bailey O’Connor tied it early in the final period, but Shew put the Hawks up for good to start a 4-0 run. Stephen Schreder had two goals for the Prep and Nico Robak scored once.
Mike Leschinsky had a goal and an assist for Emmaus while Sam Conway scored once and Ben Franco made 10 saves.
