Phillylacrosse boys’ rankings: WC East, Unionville, Hempfield crack Top 15

The Phillylacrosse.com Boys’ Rankings:

  1. Haverford School (6-2) – The Fords play Connecticut prep power Salisbury – No. 2 in last week’s Inside Lacrosse Rankings – Wednesday (6:30 p.m.) at Rutgers University in a neutral-site game.
  2. Malvern Prep (3-3) – The Friars host Episcpal Academy Wednesday in their Inter-Ac League opener.
  3. Conestoga (3-1) – The Pioneers fell to Massachusetts prep power St. Sebastian’s, 12-6.
  4. Garnet Valley (4-0) – The Jaguars host Springfield-Delco Tuesday in a Central League showdown.
  5. Springfield-Delco (3-0) – The Cougars play Tuesday at Garnet Valley.
  6. Academy of the New Church (8-0) – The Lions edged Manheim Township, 5-4, in a 3OT marathon.
  7. Salesianum School-DE (1-2) – The Sals – who fell to Chaminade last week – bowed to another Long Island power Garden City, 11-4.
  8. Radnor (2-1) – The Raiders play at Haverford High Tuesday.
  9. Manheim Township (3-1) – The Blue Streaks held ANC scoreless for the entire second half and two OT periods in the 5-4 loss.
  10. Parkland (3-0) – The Trojans edged Allentown Central Catholic, 11-10, in OT.
  11. Avon Grove (2-0) – The Devils play at Bayard Rustin Tuesday.
  12. West Chester East (3-0) – The Vikings enter the rankings with a big Ches-Mont win over Bishop Shanahan.
  13. La Salle (2-2) – The Explorers host Canadian power Hill Academy Friday.
  14. Unionville (3-0) – The Indians break into the rankings with a triumph over Ches-Mont League rival Downingtown East.
  15. Hempfield (3-1) – The Black Knights’ loss was by 14-13 to Academy of the New Church.

Under Consideration: Allentown Central Catholic (0-1), Bishop Shanahan (2-1) Cape Henlopen-DE (2-1), Central Bucks East (3-1), Downingtown East (2-2), Episcopal Academy (2-3), Kennett (4-0), Lenape-NJ (1-0), Palmyra (3-1), Penn Charter (1-4), Shawnee-NJ (1-0), Shipley (4-0), St. Augustine Prep-NJ (1-0), Strath Haven (3-1).
