NXT is excited to announce the newest program for youth to explore box lacrosse and improve on skills during winter months in the Box Academy. Taking place this January for elementary and middle school athletes, this program will provide players the opportunity to train among professional coaches at the new Steelyard facility in King of Prussia.

Like all of NXT’s programs, the Box Academy will feature a custom-designed curriculum designed to facilitate the differences of the field game to box such as learning to handle in tight space, working to become a 2-way impact player, and mastering the 2-man game.

The box game has grown significantly in the last couple years yet still too many players do not have a starting point prior to a box club team. The Academy’s mission is to introduce players to the skill benefits of playing box. NXT’s coaching staff will consist of well-known names in the lacrosse world. A full list of coaches will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

In addition to a new program, NXT is also excited to kick off the newest alliance with Steelyard Sports.
