From Press Release

Buffalo’s Chase Fraser – who starred at Neumann University – scored the winning goal in overtime on Friday to lead th Bandits to a 12-11 National Lacrosse League win over the host Philadelphia Wings Friday night before 10,805 at the Wells Fargo Center.

After a two-week break, the Wings (2-9) look revived and held an 11-8 lead on a Kevin Crowley (Fusion Co-Founder, Shipley School assistant coach) goal entering the fourth period. But the Eastern Division-leading Bandits (10-2) rallied to send the game into OT.

Fraser – who had 66 goals in 14 games as a senior at Neumann in 2017 – cut the deficit to 11-10 with his third goal of the game and Corey Small tied it with 1:07 left in regulation.

Then, in OT, Fraser scored 5:18 into the frame to give the Bandits their sixth straight victory.

Former Wings No. 1 draft pick Chris Cloutier, who was traded last month, had cut the deficit to 11-9 and finished with two goals and an assist.

Crowley led the Wings with two goals and four assists. Trevor Baptiste won 21 of 27 draws. Matt Rambo (La Salle grad, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy assistant coach) had a goal and two assists.

To start the second quarter, the Wings scored four unanswered goals to go ahead, 6-2. But Fraser led Buffalo back with one of his team’s back-to-back goals to close out the half trailing, 6-4.

The Wings struck first. Kiel Matisz sent the ball into the net in the first few minutes of the game, and the teams ended the first quarter even, 2-2.

The Wings have two more home games. They visit the San Diego Seals at 10 p.m. next Saturday at Valley View Casino Center.
