.@MainLineSportsC boys’ recruit: Central Bucks South 2019 LSM/DEF Sphar commits to Emerson

February 12, 2019 by Chris Goldberg

Central Bucks South 2019 LSM/defenseman Ryan Sphar has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Emerson College.

Ryan Sphar profile:

High School: Central Bucks South (Warrington, PA)

Graduation Year: 2019 Positions: LSM, Defense

College committed to: Emerson College

Expected Major: Communication & Journalism

Why did you choose Emerson? “Going to campus for my first visit I was a little apprehensive, and honestly didn’t think I would love a school right in the middle of a city. However, after Coach (Matt) Colombini showed us around I was sold. Their facilities are world class, and I’m very excited for the next four years there.”

Thank You: “First and foremost I want to thank my family. In 3rd grade, after playing hockey for years, I asked them if I could try out for my township lacrosse team, and they were on board from day one. Without the countless hours they spent driving me to games and practices, I never would have had this amazing opportunity. Another big thank you all of my high school coaches. They have consistently pushed me to better myself on and off the field. Coach Strayline and Coach Fisher gave me the opportunity to prove myself on the field, and Coach Jacobsen has always helped foster my love for the game. Finally I’d like to thank all of my teammates for always pushing each other to be the best.”
