This is one of a series of previews for the 2019 Philly lacrosse season.
High School: Abington Friends School

League: Friends League
Coach: Jess Breuning
Last year’s record: 5-7 overall, finished 7th in the Friends School League
Key returnees: Ally Muller(freshman)- earned All-Friends School League Honors last season. She’s a key player that is consistently active all over the field as well as our top scorer.
Others to watch: Isabelle Newman(senior)- a key player in our defensive unit. She provides strong leadership on the field through her play and constant communication with her teammates.
Clare Rosenwinkel(senior)- an active player on both ends of the field. She puts up a tough fight for any 50/50 ball and always delivers positive energy that keeps our team going.
Coach’s outlook for 2019 season: “I’m excited to come into this season and help my team create a high intensity of playing on the field. We are working on constructing a strong defensive unit, as well as generating more speed and ball movement on the offensive end. As a team we are looking to improve our record from last year and prepare to compete in the Quaker Cup at the end of the season.”

League: MAPL (Mid Atlantic Prep League)/Independent
Coach: Mo Gaitan, First year

Coach’s outlook for 2019 season: “We are very excited about the returning talent and the incoming athletes we have to round out our young but eager team.”
