From Press Release
Eleven freshmen are set to join the ranks of the University of Pennsylvania women’s lacrosse program, looking to build on the foundation of success for the Quakers that includes 13-straight trips to the NCAA Tournament, and 11 Ivy League championships in the last 13 years.
“This freshman class is extremely athletic and each athlete has shown a passion for improving their game since we recruited them,” commented Head Coach Karin Corbett. “We are excited for them to push and challenge this team and believe several have the capabilities to see playing time early on in their careers.”
The Class of 2023 covers all positions on the field, including six midfielders, three defenders, one attacker and one goalkeeper. The rookies hail from eight different states, including four from Pennsylvania and one each from New York, Washington, Maryland, Texas, California, Virginia and Connecticut.
