Senior goalie Harley Barrett (Perkiomen Valley) of the Coastal Carolina women’s lacrosse team was named the ASUN Defensive Player of the Week the league announced Tuesday for her performance against Big South opponent Campbell.
The Perkiomenville native made eight saves in 48 minutes of action, for a 0.727 save percentage, against the Camels while allowing just three goals in the 16-4 victory.
It is the seventh career and first 2019 weekly award for Barrett.
The Chanticleers (2-1) will return to action on March 6, as they travel to Rock Hill, S.C. to take on in-state rival Winthrop. The opening draw is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Eagle Field.
