Amherst senior attackman Evan Wolf (Lower Merion, Duke’s LC) has been named the Warrior/US Lacrosse Division III Men’s Preseason Player of the Year.
Wolf was a USILA first-team All-American last year, collecting 53 goals and 31 assists.
Wolf also was the IMLCA Division III Offensive Player of the Year, the IMLCA Northeast Region Offensive Player of the Year, NESCAC Player of the Year, First Team IMLCA All-Region, First Team NEILA All-Region, First-Team Jewish All-American and First Team All-NESCAC. Playing in 16 contests for Amherst, the Wynnewood native was held to just one non-multi point game in 2018 while scoring a goal in every appearance. An all-around player, Wolf amassed a 42.6 shot percentage, 33 ground ball pickups and nine caused turnovers, while his 5.25 points per game ranked 13th in the nation and his 3.31 goals per game ranked 20th in the country.
Amerst is ranked No. 3 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division III Men’s Top 20.
