Wings suffer from slow start, bow to Rochester Knighthawks, 13-9,

The host Rochester Knighthawks bolted to a 5-0 first-period lead and led, 8-1, late in the first half before holding off the Philadelphia Wings, 13-9, Saturday night in National Lacrosse League action.

The Wings (0-2) got three goals and two assists from Chris Cloutier. Blaze Riorden had a goal and four assists, Brett Hickey had two goals and two assists, Vaughn Harris scored twice and Kiel Matisz had 16 loose balls and three assists. Josh Currier added a goal and two assists and Jordan Hall had a goal and an assist.

For Rochester (1-0), Cody Jamieson had three goals and three assists and Cory Vitarelli had three goals and one assist.
