From Press Release

Stephany Parcell

Temple lacrosse head coach Bonnie Rosen has announced the hiring of former Owls’ standout Stephany ParceIl Gobrecht ’13 (Interboro) as an assistant coach for the program.

“I am thrilled to welcome Steph back to Temple,” said Rosen. “As we considered our candidates for this position we were looking for: a skilled teacher and thinker of the game, a coach who had a demonstrated interest in developing the whole student-athlete, and someone who would be driven to make Temple a top team in the nation. Steph checked each of those boxes and more.”

Parcell Gobrecht was a mainstay on the field in her playing days at Temple, starting 54 games while racking up 120 goals, 33 assists and 111 draw controls — a number that still ranks fourth all-time for the Owls. A first-team All-Atlantic 10 and second-team All-Region honoree, the midfielder capped her collegiate career with 58 points on 40 goals and 18 assists. A former Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team seletion, Parcell Gobrecht also excelled in the classroom, earning All-Academic honors as a senior.

“I would like to thank Bonnie, Jen, and The Temple University Athletics Department for providing me the opportunity to continue my coaching career at Temple,” noted Parcell Gobrecht. “As a proud Temple lacrosse alumna, I am so excited to have the opportunity to be a member of this incredible staff and to coach this amazing team.

“To be on the same staff as Bonnie and Jen, who have coached and mentored me for years is truly an honor and I am so thankful. I look forward to continuing the tradition of Temple Lacrosse as a former student-athlete and now as the assistant coach.”

Parcell Gobrecht spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach for Longwood University. With the Lions, she helped the team to a pair of Big South Tournament appearances, with 14 wins between the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

Prior to her time at Longwood, she spent two seasons as an assistant coach at McDaniel College. In two seasons with the Green Terror, the team compliled 15 wins and made an appearance in the ECAC Tournament Mid-Atlantic Semifinal in 2015.

Parcell Gobrecht also served as an assistant coach at Gwynedd-Mercy University in 2014, helping the Griffins to a spot in the CSAC Tournament.
