Ty Souders, a former Emmaus and Lehigh University standout who came home to coach Southern Lehigh, has stepped down from his post.
Souders, according to The Morning Call, left to pursue other positions outside of the region.
In his 2 years at Southern Lehigh, Souders posted a 29-11 record, which included trips to the District 11 Class AA title games in both years. Souders was named the Coach of the year in the Lehigh Valley by the Morning Call in 2018.
Souders was a two-time All-American and a team captain at Lehigh as well as a finalist for the prestigious Senior CLASS Award. The 2014 Lehigh grad was a three-time All-Patriot League pick and later was drafted by the Denver Outlaws of the MLL.
Souders was a Third-Team All-Phillylacrosse.com pick in 2009 for Emmaus, which won the District 11 titles in 2009 and 2010. He also played for the Duke’s Lacrosse Club.
