Duke’s Lacrosse Club has announced its open and ongoing instructional/evaluation dates (four sessions), beginning this Sunday, Aug. 26 at Cardinal O’Hara.
Included in the Dukes tryout/evaluation process for grad years (2023-2019) are the 12th Annual Ricky Whelan Dukes Instructional/Evaluation Clinics used to instruct ALL players on advanced skill development & situational play, while working on weaknesses and refining advanced fundamentals to be effective in a PLAY FAST/DECISION MAKING environment.
With the new NCAA rules which eventually will trickle down to HS rules, early offense, transition, and quick restarts tempo and technique/decision making are vital.
All current Duke’s Elite, Young Guns, Nationals, MainLine, Duke’s Virginia, Duke’s Twist and Duke’s Chester County, TEAM PA Lacrosse 2023-2019 players and players seeking to join Duke’s Lacrosse Club or from other club teams should attend. Dukes coaches implement a lot of their defensive terminology and offensive gameplay during these four Sunday sessions to get ready for fall and future summer events.
Players will be selected to Dukes Program rosters – 2023-2019 and Duke’s Young Guns, Duke’s Nationals, Duke’s MainLine and Duke’s Elite HS – during the clinic sessions who consistently demonstrate the ability to execute in drills, display their athleticism, and have coachable traits coaches are looking for in a student-athlete.
