Registration will close on April 1 for those interested in trying out for the five Philly Women’s National Tournament Teams competing in the US Lacrosse National Tournament on May 26-27 at Stony Brook University on Long Island.

The Philly Tryouts for the five Philly Teams will feature two half day sessions and a third morning for team placement. Candidates must be available for all three Sunday mornings in order to try out. The dates are April 8th (730 am to noon at Radnor HS); April 22nd (7:30 am to noon) and May 6th (7:30 am to noon), both at The Agnes Irwin School.

There will be cuts after each of the first two tryout days and you will know if you made the cut and to come back for the second and third day by seeing your pinnie number listed on the website for PASLA (www.paslax.org). Your pinnie number is assigned once you complete the registration form and send in with payment.

Players must provide their own transportation and housing for the weekend and will need to pay an estimated $150 for uniforms and tournament fees.

There is a registration form on the paslax website – print out and send with a check. Players trying out must be in High School (grades 9 – 11).

The tryout fee is $55 – NO WALK UP REGISTRATIONS will be accepted. Financial assistance is available for registration fees. Tryouts are limited to the first 240 girls that register. Checks are payable to PASLAX, and a stamped self addressed envelope to PASLA c/o Lorraine Beers 2 Pine Tree Dr. Broomall PA 19008.

All players must also register online at USL for the college coaches recruiting data base here.

To become a US Lacrosse member simply go online to www.uslacrosse.org. Memberships must be current through the date of the National Tournament (May 2018). New members may send the confirmation letter from US Lacrosse. Any player dropping out after the selection process is complete will not be eligible for any PASLA nor US Lacrosse Honors and will not be able to try out the following year. (exception season ending injury). If you are unable to tryout after you have entered please notify Lorraine Beers ASAP at lbeers10@gmail.com.
