Spring-Ford High School

League: PAC

Coach: Amy Short – 8 years

Last year’s record: PAC 9-4; Overall 13-5

Players to watch: Natalie Wechter SR Mid; Mikayla Lynch SR, Def; Mac Doyle SR, Att; Olivia Yeagle JR, Mid; Cassie Marte JR, Mid; Jill Quigley JR, Att; Michaela Haney JR, Att

Key losses: Lauren Mensch, Molly McMahon, Camryn Jones, Alyssa Conway, Kamille Ward

Coach’s outlook: “Spring-Ford is excited to play this year. We have a lot of returning talent, plus new young players to add to the competitiveness of each practice. The girls are working hard to compete at a high level and we are taking each day as a new challenge.”

Pottstown High School

League: PAC

Coach: Brandy Scherer, 3rd year head coach, 7 years as assistant coach.

Last year’s record: 3-13

Key returnees: Ebony Reddick, Sr, Midfield; Reilly Owens, Jr. Goalie; Da’zah Regusters, Jr, Midfield; Emme Wolfel, So, Midfield

Others to watch: Christina Butler, So, Attack; Winni Weng, So, Defense; Taylor Sundstrom, Jr. Attack

Coach’s outlook for 2018 season: “We are once again battling the numbers issue. While we like to think of ourselves as small and mighty, there are some unique problems we battle not having adequate numbers. The girls are looking to remain positive and strong and be a contestant in games this year. The goal is always the same, come off the field knowing we laid it all out on the line and played the best possible game we can play.”
