Hatboro-Horsham High School 2019 defenseman-LSM Drew Robinson has made a commitment to the admissions process of the United States Naval Academy.

Drew Robinson profile:

Drew Robinson (right)

High School: Hatboro-Horsham High School

Position: DEF/LSM

Graduation Year: 2019

College Choice: United States Naval Academy

Club Team: Leading Edge

Lacrosse Honors: Defensive MVP, Philly Under Armour team, High school undefeated conference champs, competed in over 30 Championship games

Academic Honors: Student of the month, Honor Roll student, Selected to the Partnership team,

Expected Major: Business

Why did you choose Navy? “I chose the United States Naval Academy because ever since I was young I always wanted to serve my country and I was given the opportunity to play D1 lacrosse and able to still serve my country in the end. The Academy also prepares me for life after college, what the day there is, ‘it’s not about the 4 years but the next 40 years’ and what this means is that the Academy gives everyone the chance to be successful as a person after college.”

Thoughts on the 2018 season? “Every year we look to make playoffs but the 2018 season brought us to a halt. We always have next season and we can only learn and get better.”

Thank You: “The most important people to thank are my parents because if it were not for them providing me with the car rides, buying the equipment needed, getting hotels and always pushing me to do better in every aspect of life I would not be where I am at today.

“I would also like to thank my coaches for always providing me the skills I need to play at the next level. All of my coaches also schedule the best of the best competition in order to better us as players. They also make sure that they have given us the right exposure to college lacrosse recruiters which has helped me to get where I am at today.”
