Germantown Academy 2019 defenseman/LSM Jack McHugh has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Amherst College.

Lacrosse honors: 2018 1st Team All Inter-Ac, Varsity Starter (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior), 2018 Team MVP, 2017 Sportsmanship Award Winner, Member of 2016 US U-19 Box lacrosse team, Maverik Showtime attendee 2016

Academic honors: Distinguished achievement in History and named to Honor Roll two times

Expected major: Economics

Why did you choose Amherst? “I chose Amherst because of the prestigious academics and the ability to play against some of the best competition in the country in the NESCAC league and compete for a National Championship.”

HS team’s 2018 highlights: “Getting our first Inter-Ac win under Coach McKinney and all the other great wins we had as a team.”
