Why did you choose Coastal Carolina? “It has everything I want as an academic student and as an athlete. The student life is always busy, and everyone is friendly. The school offers many different classes to take and had many things that interested me. The lacrosse aspect is also great. The staff and players are very welcoming. They play at a high-intense level in Division 1. The school’s facilities are high quality and the coaches are very focused on improving the team and really taking care of their players.”
HS team’s 2018 highlight: “Winning the first round of districts.”
Thank You: “I want to thank my high school coaching staff, including Laurie Markle for the support given. Also, to the girls at my high school team for picking me up every game and practice. I also want to thank Maureen Berger and Shelby Iezzie for their program helping me start out as a player and learn the gameand through my freshmen year at PJP II. (As well as all the girls on that team who really cared about me and each other). I have to recognize the NXT staff, specifically Amanda Kammes and Kate Henwood. Coach Henwood launched a stellar girls’ lacrosse program a few years ago. There I met Amanda Kammes who I am so appreciative of. At NXT I really learned what it means to take it to the next level. I have never been pushed harder by Amanda, physically and mentally, on and off the field. I thank them for helping me become the player and I am today and for challenging me to always be a better person. I also would like to recognize Caili Guilday and Kara Stroup for never giving up on me and never letting me give up on myself in reps on the field and for endless help and tips; also Kara Nakrasius, Coley Ricci and Laura Lasprogata have served as great mentors to look up to. These people have all play(ed) successfully at the collegiate level. And to my NXT team, regardless of whether they started out as OG’s, joined last year, or have left the team. They have ALL supported me through everything and I can’t thank any of them enough. Lastly and obviously, my Mom and Dad who did not care where I ended up as long as I was happy and always reminded me to choose a place I loved for myself and not for because of anyone or anything else.”
Other schools considered: Cincinnati, HPU, Va Tech
