Central Bucks South 2019 midfield/attack Anna Green has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Cincinnati.

Anna Green profile:

Anna Green

High school: Central Bucks High School South, Warrington, PA

Grad year: 2019

Position: Midfield/Attack

College committed to: University of Cincinnati

Club team: Ultimate PA Lacrosse

Lacrosse honors: Four-year letter winner, Academic All-American (2018), First (2018) and Second (2017) Team All-League SOL National Conference, All Philadelphia National Team (2017), High School Achievement Award (2017) and Offensive MVP Award (2018), Scored 105 goals in 2018 and 45 assists

Expected major: Business

Why did you choose Cincinnati? “I chose UC because I fell in love with the big campus and the school energy on my first visit. I felt a connection with the players and the coaches (Pottstown grads Gina Oliver and Shannon Witzel) that I didn’t find elsewhere. The facilities are fantastic and Cincinnati is an amazing city with great opportunities and activities. Also, I want to study business and the Lindner Business school is Nationally Ranked.”

HS team’s 2019 outlook: “My high school team plays in a very competitive conference, the SOL National. We lost some key senior players last year but have a solid group of upperclassmen to lead us to being very competitive again for the league title. We have a fantastic coach (Janique Craig) who always finds a strategy to compete with the top teams.”

Thank You: “First off, I would like to give a huge thank you to my parents for always supporting me in my decisions, driving me to practices and tournaments, and believing in me. I would like to give a huge thank you to my high school coach, Janique Craig. She has believed in me since freshmen year and without all of her support, dedication, and teaching, I would not be the player I am today. Another huge thank you to DJ (Michele DeJuliis) and Jen Duckenfield for helping me through the recruiting process and helping find the best lacrosse fit for me. I want to thank my cross country coaches, Jason Gable and Micheal Cox, for helping me stay in shape in the off season and always supporting me with my journey. And, finally, I want to thank Gina Oliver and Shannon Witzel for recruiting me to Cincinnati. I can’t wait to be a Bearcat!”
