Why did you choose Maryland? “The diverse academic options, lacrosse, campus, and a prime location between Washington D.C. and Baltimore make Maryland a perfect fit for me. Also, the team at Maryland has a special bond like no others that I encountered during the recruiting process. When I attended the Final Four this year at Stony Brook, D1 coaches from other schools who are Maryland alums were leading the cheers in the front row for the Terps, wearing their Maryland gear. That’s when you know the school and the lacrosse program are something special. The team and the coaching staff want to be the best and they have a great time while they’re doing it. Being a part of a team where everyone is so motivated presents a great opportunity for me to be pushed to my very best as an athlete, a student, and a person.”

HS team’s 2018 highlights/2019 outlook: “Coming off two straight PAISSA titles, we continue to hold ourselves to a high standard. Agnes Irwin graduated a lot of starters from the 2018 season, but I am confident in the players and coaching staff that we will re-build and have a successful season in 2019.”

Thank You: “Thank you Coaches Jen Duckenfield and Jen Raech for building my skills, lax IQ and mental toughness from eight grade to the present. They have supported me every step of the way. I also want to thank Coach Lauren Wray for pushing me to do my best this past year at AIS. Thanks to Antonio Davis at Premier Sports Academy for building my strength and stamina. A special thank you to Michele DeJulius, who owns and runs Ultimate Goal Lacrosse, for guiding me through the recruiting process, improving my game, and supporting me in everything I do. I also want to thank my brother, Dave, for being the best role model that any little sister could ever have. Thanks to my parents for driving me to countless practices, tournaments, and camps. Finally, thanks to Coaches Reese, Kenis, and Phipps for providing this phenomenal opportunity.”

Other schools considered: Duke, USC, Penn, Cornell, UVA
