HEADstrong Quakers Lacrosse Club is excited to announce a second round of tryouts for the 2018-2019 season.
The tryouts to evaluate prospective players will be held on Sunday August 12th at Eastern University from 10-11:30 am (2023-2026) and 11:30 am-1 pm (2020-2022). The tryouts will be run by the HEADstrong Quakers staff, consisting of Division I and Division III college coaches from the Philadelphia area.

About HEADstrong Quakers
We are a club that prioritizes three things above all else:
· Coaching: All of our teams are lead by a College Coach, ensuring that players are given the best instruction possible, and giving our older boys a leg up in the recruiting process.
· Improvement: With great coaching comes improvement, and we want our boys to focus on the process of becoming a better lacrosse player rather than short-term shortcuts to win at the expense of improvement.
· Fun: Lacrosse is the best sport out there, and it should be FUN. We believe that as long as players are working hard, getting excellent coaching and having fun, they’ll want to play this game for a long time and reach their potential.
Everything we do supports the HEADstrong Foundation and their goal to support famliies affected by Cancer, and we always want to represent the Foundation with the highest quality people and families we can!
About our Year-Round Program
Fall
· Season starts October 1st and runs through mid-November
· “Training Camp” to kick-off the Fall
· 6-8 practices
· One Fall Event
Winter
· No MANDATORY training, allowing multi-sport athletes to focus on their other sports
· Opt-in option for 6-week Winter Training Program hosted by UPenn Staff in their NCAA Regulation Indoor Bubble
Spring
· No MANDATORY training
· Opt-in Option for 4-week Spring Training Program hosted at Franklin Field/Penn Park by the UPenn coaching staff
Summer
· “Training Camp” to open the Summer (consisting of 4 sessions over a weekend)
· 8 Additional Practices
· 3 External Events (with a focus on recruiting for our older teams)
