From Press Release

The HEADstrong Foundation will host its final three fall lacrosse events on Saturday, Oct. 20 and Sunday, Oct. 21: the University City Men’s and Women’s Classics, as well as the HEADstrong Division III Classic.

Since 2007, HEADstrong has presented a series of fall collegiate men’s and women’s lacrosse philanthropic events. Originating at Ridley High School, HEADstrong founder Nick Colleluori’s alma mater, the series has expanded to nine events overall that are hosted regionally in conjunction with collegiate partnerships. The third weekend of October will be the third of three consecutive weekends during the month to feature multiple lacrosse events at multiple locations.

The HEADstrong Division III Classic will be hosted by Cabrini University on Oct. 20 and will also feature Catholic University and Fairleigh Dickinson University. The schedule for that event is as follows:

WHEN: 3 p.m. — Cabrini vs. Catholic
5 p.m. — Fairleigh Dickinson vs. Catholic
7 p.m. — Fairleigh Dickinson vs. Cabrini

WHERE: Cabrini University: 610 King of Prussia Road, Radnor, PA, 19087

On Oct. 21, the University of Pennsylvania will host both the University City Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Classics. These events will run simultaneously throughout the day. The men’s event will feature host Penn, Drexel University, Lafayette College, Robert Morris University, University of Delaware, Syracuse University, Hobart College and Colgate University. The men’s event schedule is:

WHEN: 9 a.m. — Syracuse vs. Delaware (Field 1); Robert Morris vs. Lafayette (Field 2)
11 a.m. — Penn vs. Syracuse (Field 1); Delaware vs. Lafayette (Field 2)
1 p.m. — HEADstrong Presentation
1:30 p.m. — Drexel vs. Hobart (Field 1); Colgate vs. Robert Morris (Field 2)
3:30 p.m. — Drexel vs. Colgate (Field 1); Hobart vs. Penn (Field 2)

WHERE: University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, 19104

On the women’s side, Penn will host and will be joined by Temple University, University of Virginia and University of Southern California. The women’s schedule is as follows:

WHEN: 9:30 a.m. — Penn vs. USC
10:30 a.m. — HEADstrong Presentation
10:50 a.m. — Virginia vs. Temple
11:50 a.m — USC vs. Virginia
12:50 p.m. — USC vs. Temple
1:50 p.m. — Virginia vs. Penn
2:50 p.m. — Penn vs. Temple

WHERE: University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, 19104

“It’s unbelievable to witness the growth of our fall event series,” said Cheryl Colleluori, HEADstrong President and Nick’s mom. “In 2007, the inaugural Nick Colleluori Lacrosse Classic was held at Nick’s high school with just four teams. This year the series spans nine locations with 42 teams representing — it’s an amazing testament to our sport and the greatest tribute to a son that a parent could ask for!”

In lieu of admission to both events, a suggested donation of $5.00 per person will be asked at the gate. For more information on the HEADstrong Foundation, please visit http://www.headstrong.org and follow the foundation on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @HEADstrongFnd.
