From Press Release

The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Coaches Association (USILA) released the 2018 Scholar All-America lists for all three NCAA Divisions. Eastern University Goalie Jameal Hadeed (Parkland) earned a spot on the USILA NIke Division III Scholar All-America list for his work on the field and in the classroom.

Jameal Hadeed

Hadeed, a Biochemistry major from Allentown, Pa., earned MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Year Honors and is a two-time Honorable Mention All-American. He led the nation in Save percentage in his junior season.

In the classroom, Hadeed had similar success. He finished his degree on time and has taken the course work to begin applying to Medical School. Even with the responsibilities in the classroom and on the field, Hadeed was able to be a great leader to his teammates.

“Our younger guys definitely see it,” Head Coach Kevin Wallace said of Hadeed’s commitment in both areas. “He refuses to let things slide or go halfway. It is second semester of his senior year, and he is taking a full academic load. He made a 4.0 this semester. He was a leader on this team, and I am very pleased to see his commitment honored in this way. It is a great honor for our program as well.”

Eastern University Men’s Lacrosse has 20 of 42 players earn a 3.2 GPA or higher in the spring of 2018. The Eagles claimed their sixth MAC Freedom Title in the last seven years.
