La Salle freshman Bridget Ruskey (Middle Township-NJ) started her collegiate career in a big way as she scored three goals on nine shots and tacked on an assist last weekend in an 8-6 opening-game loss Fresno State.
For her accomplishments she was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week last week.
Ruskey also recovered a draw and picked up a ground ball in the process. She scored two of La Salle’s final three goals of the game and helped spark a big second half for the Explorers. La Salle outscored the Bulldogs 4-1 in the final 30 minutes.
The Explorers head to Delaware to take on the Blue Hens on February 21.
