Boys’ lacrosse: Tygh, Marano lead @PennCharterBLax past @EAboyslacrosse, 8-7

Gavin Tygh won 17 of 19 faceoffs and Carson Marano stood out in goal with 13 saves as host Penn Charter defeated Episcopal Academy, 8-7, Thursday to stay in the race for the top spot in the Inter-Ac League.

Haverford School (3-0) becomes the only unbeaten team while Penn Charter (7-8 overall) moves into a second-place tie with EA (4-4) at 2-1.

Blake Target had three goals and two assists while Antonio DeMarco added two goals and an assist and Ryan Dickson scored scored for the Quakers. Conor McKee had a goal and an assist and Penn Charter led the entire way.

For EA, Gabe Furey scored four goals and Charlie Cunniff tallied two while Jackson Tuma scored once.
